Federal Court Tosses Texas Law That Looks A Lot Like P.A.'s Voter ID Law

There's been another federal court decision on a voter id law, but this time, it wasn't in Pennsylvania. A 3-judge federal panel unanimously rejected a Texas law Thursday that would require voters to have an id on them when they vote in November. South Carolina has the same law on the books that's being heard this week as well. Last month, a Commonwealth court upheld Pennsylvania's law. The A.C.L.U. and its allies appealed to the state Supreme Court, where oral arguments are set for September 13th.
