The deaths of two children have prompted the recall of one-point-eight-million toy dart gun sets sold exclusively by Family Dollar stores nationwide. The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced in a statement there's a choking danger if a child places the soft plastic dart in his or her mouth. It can then be inhaled into the throat. Family Dollar Stores announced Monday there had been two reports of children, one a nine-year-old boy in Chicago, the second a ten-year-old boy in Milwaukee, dying after choking on the plastic darts.

 The "Auto Fire" toy target set was made in China and sold exclusively at Family Dollar stores for about a dollar-50-each from September 2005 through January 2009. Family Dollar took the recall action after the importer, Henry Gordy International of Plainfield, New Jersey, refused to recall the toys. Adults are advised to take the toy away from children immediately and throw them away. The guns and darts can also be returned to a Family Dollar store for a full refund.
