Erie, PA Is The Snowiest City In America

Erie Pennsylvania is the snowiest city in America, dethroning Syracuse New York. Erie has been named champion of the Golden Snow Globe national snow contest for cities with a population of more than 100,000. It’s 2013-14 season snowfall total sits at 138.4 inches, 6.4 inches ahead of second-place Syracuse's 132 inches. In the Golden Snow Globe contest, Buffalo is in third place with 129.9 inches; Grand Rapids, Mich., is fourth with 116 inches; and Rochester, N.Y., is fifth with 112.7 inches.
