Chemung County Legislator Joe Brennan tells Family Life News, "I don't think that young people need to be exposed to men dressing up as women and reading them books."

Brennan wants to see legislation vet library workers and volunteers for the safety of kids.

Pastor Kelly Todd calls on fellow Christians insisting, "we can't hide in our churches and ignore the issue."

Meanwhile, Director Ron Shaw says the Thursday, 6 p.m. event at the Steele Memorial Library deals with "peace and understanding."  He tells Family Life opponents can simply skip the program.
