New York Governor Andrew Cuomo put an estimate on the damage to downstate New York from Hurricane Sandy on Wednesday. He predicted the state has sustained at least 6-billion-dollars in losses, and asked the President to provide 100-percent reimbursement. The hurricane caused more then 2-million power outages, 30 deaths in the Empire state alone, and billions of dollars to transportation systems.
