Corbett unveils Medicaid reform plan

Governor Tom Corbett is proposing  major changes to the Medicaid system, which he says is growing at a  rate that can't be sustained.  He wants to use new federal money to buy  private insurance for half a million uninsured Pennsylvanians.  The Corbett plan requires “able-bodied” unemployed  Medicaid recipients to seek job  training and employment. It would eliminate co-pays and charge monthly premiums  of up to $25 for Medicaid recipients. Premiums would be based on income.
