Conflicting accounts about the Catholic diocese in Buffalo

This comes following a recent report from the Vatican.

Catholic news correspondent Christopher Lamb claims Bishop Malone's resignation is soon to come after a recent meeting with the papal ambassador to the U.S.

Brooklyn Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, the one who made the Buffalo report, now faces accusations that he abused an alter boy in the 1970s while working in New Jersey.

The Buffalo Diocese maintains its position that Bishop Malone is staying, adding that he "continues to serve as the leader" and is "currently engaged with the other bishops of New York state discussing the areas of challenge and progress of the Catholic church."
