Common Core Test Results Released

Math scores rose, and English scores were static. Thirty five Percent of kids in grades 3 through 8 were proficient in math, up from 31 percent in 2013. In Rochester, just 5 percent of kids were proficient in English-- The lowest among the 5 largest districts in the state. School officials caution against reading too much into 1 year of common core tests-- But opponents say it's more proof the standards aren't working.
