Local prosecutor Ray Tonkin says after they sum up, "the jurors will have a chance to make their decision."

Defense lawyers rested their case yesterday without calling a single witness.

They shocked reporters, too, when they said their client "displays the qualities of humanity and a core of goodness that we all have."

Frein is accused of ambushing two state troopers outside their police barracks in the Pocono Mountains two years ago.

He was captured in a vacant airport hanger 48 days after the sniper attack.
