Church In NJ Does "Reverse Tithe"

A church in Northern New Jersey passed the offering plate around this fall, and instead of filling it, they let people take what they needed. Liquid Church gave away 30-thousand-dollars at one service. They did it in unmarked envelopes containing either a 10, 20, or 50-dollar bill. The church called it a reverse offering-- and Lead Pastor Tim Lucas said it was meant to teach churchgoers that faith in God, not government, is the only route to recovery in a financial crisis.
