Christian activists in PA fear fallout from "Jesus" prayer in the state House

Michael Geer with the Pennsylvania Family Institute says, "anyone who attends an Evangelical church would not think anything" of the prayer issued by freshman Rep. Stephanie Borowicz this week.

But Muslim activists called the prayer "Islamophobic" because it happened immediately before the swearing-in of Pennsylvania's first Muslim representative, Movita Johnson-Harrell of Philadelphia.

Geer encourages people to pray for our elected officials, and the continued practice of prayer at the state House.

He says the ACLU is now applying pressure on House Speaker Mike Turzai to ban public prayer all together in the state House in Harrisburg.
