California Bans Therapy To Help Gay Kids; Affects Christian Counseling Centers

California has become the first state to ban teenage gay conversion therapy. Effective January 1st, mental health practitioners, as well as Christian churches and counseling centers, are prohibited from holding sessions that are aimed at making gay teenagers straight. Many ministries use counseling and prayer to help conflicted teens. The state said it puts teens at a higher risk of depression and suicide. Conservative groups argue it hinder's parents rights to provide psychological care for their children experiencing gender confusion.
