Boy Scouts To Announce Decision On Banning or Allowing Homosexuals Today

02.06.13 | Sarah Harnisch

There are three and a half million Boy Scouts and adult volunteers across the country. And today, they wait with baited breath to find out if the Scouts will change a more then 100 year old policy banning homosexuals.  Jonathon Synz is the president of Texas Values. He has staged a prayer vigil outside the scout's national headquarters this morning. He says they're there to "stand for principle. What happened to that? What happened to standing for what you believe in?" He says the Scouts are being strong armed by lobbyists. The Scout's National Board held a 3 day meeting that wraps up today, and rules on homosexuality topped the agenda. That meeting wraps up today, meaning we could know the answer before the end of the work day.
