Bill Proposed In NY To Require Parental Consent On Body Piercings

People under 18 in New York can't go tanning or get tattoos without parental permission. They're not allowed to buy cigarettes. But they can get body piercings. State Senator Joe Robach has introduced a bill to require minors under the age of 18 to get parental consent. Many body piercing shops say they support a parental consent law because many people don't realize piercings can cause scarring and can lead to infections if not properly done.
