The Pennsylvania Game Commission reports that figures from the first two days of Pennsylvania's four-day firearms hunting season show that the harvest was down about 20 percent. The firearms hunting season on black bear runs through Wednesday.  The Game Commission says hunters brought 2,086 bears to commission check stations on Saturday and Monday, 700 bears less then last year. The largest bear taken so far this season, was a 652-pound male taken Saturday in Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County.
