Family Life's Fall Sharathon is October 13-16 and the brand new Lincoln Brewster song, "Reaching for You" has been selected as our Fall Sharathon theme. Our passion is to reach people with the message of true hope in a world that is more hopeless every day.  You are invited to join us in God's work by volunteering at the Sharathon at the Family Life Center in Bath, NY.  If you can, come be a part of the excitement and help carry the load of tasks involved!

There is a public Fish Dinner on Friday evening and a Stearns grilled chicken will be served on Saturday starting at 11 am. We’ll keep the cost low for both meals — so bring the whole family! Volunteers receive their meal at no cost.

There will be tons of fun in store for our guests including a Kids’ Karnival on Friday evening from 4-8 pm and again on Saturday starting at 1 pm.

You can enjoy seeing LIVE! radio broadcasts and witness how it all comes together behind the scenes in the Family Life Center gym. Come meet the on-air personalities as well as volunteers and staff as we all come together in one location for four days. Stop by each work station and say “hi!” … we’d love to meet you in person.

Over the four days of Sharathon, we are typically joined by well over 200 volunteers. Most serve as Phone Operators answering the calls of our listeners who are making faith promises to financially support Family Life. Volunteers must have basic computer skills. Mandatory training starts one hour prior to their first phone shift. Since they interact with our listeners, we need adult volunteers who have very good telephone skills, a warm, friendly manner, clear speech, sharp hearing ability, and a working knowledge of Family Life. Most phone shifts are 3 hours long. To volunteer in Phone Central, email Mary Giovinazzo.

Volunteers also help staff our kitchen and assist with food preparation and service.(Food Central shift times are different than Phone Central) Please email Darcie Schwarz for shift times and to sign up to help with food service during the Fall Sharathon.

The Kids' Karnival also needs volunteers on Friday and Saturday. Teens can get in touch with George Sweatt to help in that area.
