The calendar says Spring, but it looks like Winter isn't quite finished with the Northeast.  Forecasters say a potentially destructive storm is blasting the region with heavy snow and strong winds.  Meteorologist Gary Best says this rare late Spring snowstorm is expected to dump as much as a foot of snow or more in parts of New York. Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland are also expected to get a few inches too.  Strong winds are expected to continue through much of today, with gusts topping 50 miles per hour in some areas.  The heavy snow and high winds could leave thousands of people in the dark.  Officials are expecting numerous power outages resulting from downed trees and powerlines from western New York to northern West Virginia.  The weather will remain chilly for a couple days.  Temperatures could hold out in the 30s through tomorrow morning before rising into the 40s tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday. Meteorologist Gary Best says the storm will continue to move west throughout the day.
