A Nicaraguan judge has confirmed the 30-year jail sentence of Orlando Tercero, who returned to the central American country following the 2018 killing that was made to look like Anderson's suicide.

Back in November, the former Binghamton University student was given the 30-year maximum sentence.

Tuesday, the victim's mother spoke to Tercero through live stream video.

Anderson's parents say they plan to spread awareness about the warning signs of stalking.

Tercero has several days to file a final appeal under Nicaraguan law.
