Another Conservative Is Considering Running Against Barack Obama

There might be another conservative candidate running for the presidency. A Wall Street journal poll out today has American millionaire and businessman Donald Trump in second place nationwide among likely voters as a candidate in 2012. Trump addressed the poll on national T.V. He said "I would run a great, great country. This country will be great again. It is not great right now. We have huge deficits, huge problems, huge unemployment-- and we're not respected. The world laughs at us. They won't be laughing if I'm President." One researcher in the study said when Trump talks about how to solve our problems, he makes a lot of sense to the average guy. In one example, he talked about our influence in Pakistan. He said "we build a road, we build a school. Two days later, they blow up the road, they blow up the school. We start building them again. In the meantime, we can't build our own schools in Alabama, in New Orleans, in Texas, in New York."
What does Trump stand for? He is pro-life, anti gun control, and anti-foreign aid, except for emergencies. He believes China should be a competitor instead of a trade partner because of their human rights record. He believes the U.S. should disengage in Iraq and Afghanistan. Trump said he can't declare candidacy until the season of "Celebrity Apprentice" is over in June, because a Presidential candidate can't have their own t.v. show.
As far as the rest of the poll went, in first place as a Presidential candidate-- was Mitt Romney. Tied for second with Trump-- Evangelical Christian Mike Huckabee. Down the ticket-- Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, Tim Pawlenty, Michelle Bachman and Rick Santorum, in that order.
