President Obama's endorsement of gay marriage did not shake most American's views. The Associated Press survey found 42-percent of Americans still oppose gay marriage, while just 40-percent support it. 15-percent of Americans are neutral. The numbers are almost identical to where the national stood on the issue a year ago. Researchers say if the President accomplished anything with his endorsement, it was to fire up the liberal base of his party.
