American Workers Log Just A 3-Cent Raise, On Average, In 2 Years

Want a raise? Here's 3-cents. Jobs are growing in the United States, but salaries saw their worst rise since 2010 this year. In inflation-adjusted terms, employees have had just a 3-cent raise, on average, in 24 months. Coming out of the 1982 recession, American workers were averaging a 5-dollar raise a week, when you factor in the upper class's wages. Economists say robbing raises robs the economy of any chance of recovery.
