A plan is in the works to unify Democrats in the New York Senate

It could be bad news for Republicans if it happens.

Four top state Democrats have put forth a plan that calls for reunification of the fractured Senate Democrats. Currently eight break-away Dems have aligned themselves with Republicans to form a power-sharing coalition.

This letter warns if those break-way Democrats do not join up with the party base, then the state Democratic party will back primaries against them.

Gov. Cuomo will call for special elections next April to fill open Senate seats.

That means Republicans will remain in the majority, at least for the upcoming budget talks.
