A P.A. Team Is In The Little League World Series
08.16.11 |
For the first time since 2006, a Pennsylvania Little League team will be competing in the Little League World Series - which happens every year in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. State Senator John Wozniak says he's hoping to see them go further-- maybe take the title. Keystone Little League made it to the tournament by beating a team from New Jersey. Wozniak says "can you imagine how exciting it is for these kids? I mean, they're pre-teens. This is a tremendous opportunity for them, something they can remember for the rest of their lives." Keystone Little League is based out of the Lock Haven-area in Clinton County. They'll take on the winners' from the South -a Kentucky squad-- during opening round action of the Little League World Series this Friday evening.
