Women make up about 88% of the state's health care support workers.

Women in most health care professions also tend to earn closer to the same amount as men in their fields.  Support workers earn more than 80 cents for every dollar earned by men, well above the Pennsylvania average of 68.5 cents.

The study breaks down women's participation in assorted health fields, along with details about unemployment rates and earnings compared to men.
