A New Mine Is Coming To P.A.

A new mine could be on the way in western Pennsylvania. C.W. Morgan mine has started the process of application, submitting it to the Department of Environmental Protection. The company says it wants to mine coal in what was once part of the reserves of the former Shannopin mine, in Dunkard Township. They believe 600,000 tons of coal could be produced yearly through a new mine.
