A medical marijuana bill could be in the hands of Pennsylvania'a governor this week

The Senate passed Senate Bill 3 during the dinner hour last night by a vote of 42 to 7 making the state one step closer to having legalized marijuana. The House has already passed this, meaning the final step is for the bill to go back to the House and get the final go-ahead. The Senate version passed with technical amendments: background checks for employees of medical marijuana organizations, stronger seed to sale tracking, and clear borders on how close dispensaries could be to schools and daycare centers.

Today the bill will go to a House committee this morning, then to the House floor for a full vote.  After that, the bill heads to Governor Wolf's desk.
