Local, state and federal authorities were in on the sting operation at a hotel in Stroudsburg.

19 people were taken into custody.

Detective Kim Lippincott with Pennsylvania State Police said, "These women are being forced into doing what they're doing."

The victims of the human trafficking have been taken to a safe house in the Llehigh Valley.

Area clergy have been raising awareness about the problem.  Rev. Angelique Labadie-Cihanowyz  with the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church said, "We need to just work on addressing the problem rather than pretending that it doesn't exist."

Police in Stroudsburg say they've made more than 100 arrests in the past year related to human trafficking and prostitution.
