The 12-member jury, including two Penn State employees, ruled that Penn State is guilty of defamation and misrepresentation.

The former assistant football coach sued the university for firing him in 2012. His lawyers argued Mike McQueary was wrongly terminated over his statements used to convict Jerry Sandusky on child abuse charges.

Penn State's defense team says McQueary was let go when his contract was up, because the new football coach didn't want him on staff.
