A direct flight from New Jersey to Toronto changed planes three times yesterday, including once in Rochester

The United Airlines flight was greeted by fire trucks on the tarmac at the Rochester International Airport. For the passengers on board, it was the second emergency landing of the day. Their first plane had to turn around at Newark.

Lee Hazan and Elie Chemtob were so tired with their thrice-failed plans to travel to Toronto that they simply decided to rent a vehicle in Rochester and drive back to New Jersey. United released a statement last night saying it was a mechanical issue. Both men were given a $20 gift card for dinner.
