78-Percent of All Americans Call Themselves Christian

 As we approach the New Year, Gallup finds that the dominant religion in the United States continues to be Christianity.  A release from the research organization says an overwhelming number-- 78-percent-- of Americans identify with the Christian religion. Less than two percent are Jewish, less than one percent are Muslim, and 15-percent have no religious identity.  In fact, 95-percent of all Americans with a religious identity align themselves with Christianity.
