10 percent Of Deaths Worldwide Caused By Inactivity

Harvard researchers found that inactivity caused in increase in death from coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and breast and colon cancer, resulting in more than five million deaths around the world in 2008.  The lead author of an article accompanying the studies says the majority of people are able to be physically active at modest levels, resulting in substantial health benefits.  The studies are reported in this week's issue of the British health journal, "The Lancet."
