Good afternoon. Today, what happened when you know the Lord saved your life? Your near-death experience. You Watch Over Me is the topic today. Please call 888-413-4156 or leave a note below.

And, one more chance to win tickets to CreationFest 2010 this afternoon before 6.

Dose of Encouragement...

(Ephesians 4:32)  Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

How do we handle someone who’s sinned – or even hurt us?  With the same kind of kindness God has shown to us through His son, Jesus Christ.

I will try to condense this long story. Year 2003, Thanksgiving weekend, My daughter and her beau were Seniors in HS, He had a Pontiac firebird, older model. They left our house to go to his and then to get a sandwich. Shortly after leaving our house they were in an accident. I had always told him to remember he was carrying precious cargo and to be careful. As his car was spinning out of control toward a tree that would hit my daughter he heard me say that. He whipped the steering wheel and the car swung around so his side hit the tree. He was smashed and crushed between the tree, the steering, the console, and T-top which came down. He came to and saw my daughter bleeding from her head and unconsious. He attempted to turn his body to get to her, tearing the muscles from his back (Dr diagnosis later) causing him to go unconsious again. He was air flighted to one hospital and my daughter was ambulance transported to a different hospital. Both healed from their injuries and were told God has a plan for you.
The next day, my daughter received a call from a Christian College she had applied to, fearing no acceptance because her grades were ave and SAT's low. THEY ACCEPTED HER!!!! At the first meeting with the parents/students I learned about learning disabilities, I requested she be tested. It was done and we learned she had a disability and arranged things to assist her in her schoolwork. She now has a B>S> in Human Services. Her Beau - worked hard to get better and joined the Marine Corp. He is now a SGT. They married in 2007, and are now living in Okinawa together where he is stationed. So much more has gone on in the lives of these two I truly believe God had and has a plan for them. What a joy to stand back and watch it.

On March 30, 2006, my then 18 year old son a couple of his friends took our canoe out on Owasco Lake. It was a beautiful early spring day, very warm and sunny. However, the water of the lake was still ice cold. The boys, I'm sure, were not being as responsible as they should be tipped the canoe. There were flotation cushions in the canoe, but they were not wearing life jackets. Everyone knows it does not take long before ice cold water paralyzes the body. The boys were near the middle of the lake holding onto the canoe yelling for help. My son thought he would be able to swim to shore to get help. Needless to say, this would not happen. By the grace of God, there were a couple of men at a house on shore that had their motor boat in the water - which is really way too early in the season - but there by the grace of God... The men were able to reach the boys and hoist them into the boat. My son was the last one they got to. He was already going under a few times and could no longer manage in the water. He told me he was giving up and going down when he felt the grasp of a hand that pulled him up to the boat. God was truly watching over my son. PRAISE GOD!
