The best thing that happened in 2011 was being chose to be the parents of Eliana Faith. For 2.5 years we had been waiting to be picked for a child to adopt. Finally everything fell into place on June 9, 2011 when Ellie was entrusted to us by her birth mother. A thousand prayers were answered that day! She has been an unbelievable blessing to our family! Seeing God work through the whole process was such a faith builder too.

The best thing that happened to me in 2011 was I was SAVED!!! I finally allowed Jesus into my heart!! For 7years my husband's family has been teaching me about Jesus and the Bible, but there had been a lot of hard times in life and I couldn't believe that if God truly loved us that He would let someone suffer like that, but I know the truth. I am still learning and teaching my children everyday. 2012 is really my new start. I am going to grow to be closer to God and try to be the woman He wants me to be.

Hi! Wow, a few Godfantastic things happened, but the first thing that came to mind is sensing/experiencing God's Grace and start of freedom in an area if my life~ I used excuses/circumstances in my life for way too long... but as I am experiencing freedom I feel freed up to actually serve God hopefully in a more efficient way, instead of before and still now (a little) being distracted by my own failures. I love the Lord~

There were so many wonderful things that happened to me in 2011 that its hard to choose one. Even a tragedy can be a good thing though. While on vacation I fell and broke my tailbone and after a few tears I looked up to where my husband stood and I looked past him and started laughing. He couldn't find what I was laughing at but I did. God was telling me, I gave you this vacation to relax and your running around so much you haven't slowed down so he gave me this accident to slow me down even more. So even a bad things that happen can bring you unexpected joy, peace and rest.

The best thing that happened to me this past year is geting to know and getting close to my "adopted" Mom, Sherie Laraby. She took me under her wing and has loved me like her own daughter. As a result, I have overcome my depression and most of my insecurities. I am not the same person, I am a much happier, confident, outgoing, BETTER person because of her. She is the best thing that has happened to me this past year, and I wouldn't be me without her. I wouldn't be who God wants me to be, without her guidance and love.

The best thing of 2011 was interviewing in December and accepting a day shift position at the hospital where I work. I have been working nights for 7 years and God opened the door for me to move back to days. I do not actually get to experience the benefit of it til Monday 1/16, but I know it is going to be an amazing journey provided by my Lord.

One of the best things that happened to me this year was God's answer to my prayer. He gave me this idea for a journal; my new journal has tabs sticking out the top with many different topics:prayers, verses on anger, ?s, and others. I was so excited to use my journal and I found numerous ways to spend time with God! This journal was an answer to prayer because it was exactly what I had been looking for.

When I heard Racheal, Steve and Randy mention this this morning I knew the answer right away - LYME Disease! After 10 years of struggling to understand my husband speak, the lost moments of playing with our young children back then, and the change in our relationship, finding out he had Chronic Lyme Disease was the greatest thing to happen to our family! We have grown a family out of a circle of supportive friends, the blessing of a healing doctor and the peace and courage to go ahead with life and not be afraid of what may come. God is the center of all the hardships we have endured and continues to bless us, guiding us with each step. It's even through a song written for my husband called "Lead Me On" by Cry of the Scapegoat. We can't wait to hear it played one day soon on FLN. The vines that have been stripped away are true blessings in all our lives.

Hey Sonny, wanted to do Testimony Tues but was real busy at work: I am thankful that God blessed me with being able to make a 7 1/2 hour trip to be with my dad before he passed away in Dec when the nurse called me and said they didn't think he would make it to get to a different hospital for treatment that was 25 minutes away. I drove 7 1/2 hours, praying all the way. Got to the hospital, dad was still with us, prayed over him (he was not conscience), and talked to him. He lived another hour and 13 minutes then passed. God is GOOD.
