It's the week of Father's Day, so what better topic than "Bragging on Dad?" Please call 1-888-413-4156 and brag on your earthly father, or father figure. You can also leave a note below. Thank you and Happy Father's Day!
Your Comments(please keep them on topic and polite)
I would like to brag on two male people in my life. The first is my father who passed away 5 years ago. He was the best earthly father that he could be. He tried to stay neutral through all the sibling rivalry and I miss him alot and cannot wait to see him and my mom again some day. The second is my 23 year old son Kevin. He was married for almost a year and he and his wife decided to have a baby. Bailey came 2 1/2 months early and stayed in the nicu. He is a proud dad. His ex-wife (now) left him and Bailey when she was 4 months old and she has no responsibilites to her. Kevin has had alot of struggles lately and with everything that has happened he puts his daughter first and he is turning out to be a very good parent. Please ask for prayer for both of them and I continue to ask God for Kevin to find the path again and seek God for everything. He is angry right now.
Thank you for sharing Carol. I'm inviting all to pray for Kevin too.
I don't usually post comments online. :-) I just heard this on the radio, and it really moved me. I love that you recognized your son for being such a good father.
I've been going through similar circumstances over the past two years. I feel like I'm finally starting to heal and feel like my son and I are complete on our own.
I know the pain of being left unexpectedly and having to do so much work alone, when I thought I would always have my husband here by my side. It's immense. It feels unbearable most of the time, for a long time. It takes a huge amount of strength to parent alone. But it does get easier and it does get better. And then better things in life await - honest. I didn't believe that before, but I'm finding that peace and happiness now.
God bless your son and your family.
Amen! Thank you Stephanie. May the Lord strengthen your resolve.
