Is a No Tip Society In Our Future?
(New York, NY) -- Several restaurants nationwide are raising menu prices by an average of 15 percent to cover waitstaff wages. Restaurant manager Mallory Porter says the idea is to give workers a guaranteed salary, and for customers it makes life easier, not having to sit an calculate how much of a tip to leave after every meal.
Chris says if the tip is built in, even bad waiters are composted.
Brian thinks service is better if waiters have to hustle.
Debbie thinks it's fair that all waiters receive the same amount, despite their service.
