Encouraging Moms

Good afternoon. On today's Testimony Tuesday I'd like to take a different approach from USA Today. They have an article titled: Every mother knows that raising children is hard, and parents make mistakes sometimes. So why do... Moms judge one another? Today, I like you to call and tell what Worked for you? How did the Lord help you raise your children. Let's encourage moms who might be struggling @ 888-413-4156 or you can leave a note below.

Tonight, it's Crystal Bowersox (who looks so much like our own Sarah Harnish) against Lee DeWyze on "American Idol"'s season 9 finale. They'll crown the "Biggest Loser" tonight too.

Dose of Encouragement...

Colossians 3:12... Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humilty, gentleness and patience.

The only picture of Jesus some people will ever see is in us... and how we treat them. Patience is a character trait of those chosen and redeemed by Christ.

I don't access Facebook, but I wanted to share this verse with the caller that phoned and expressed her desire and purpose to be the generation in her family that breaks a cycle. A year ago the women's group at our church did a study on David (Annointed by Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kay Arthur)...one of the verses that was covered was 2 Samuel 7:18 - "Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?". Such a great expression of thankfulness to God for what He can accomplish in imperfect families. God's sovereignty is amazing and we are so blessed to be part of what He wishes to accomplish on this earth - even (especially) through broken families....
