>>Stolen Watch Returned After 53 Years
A New York man recently learned that good things come to those who wait, even if that wait lasts more than five decades. According to the "Press and Sun-Bulletin," Ed Grigor's watch, which he had received as a graduation gift, was stolen from him 53 years ago while he was in the Navy. But last month, Grigor got a call from a man in Las Vegas named Mark Herrik, who claimed to have found a watch with Ed's name on it. When Ed found out that the watch also had all the same engravings as his, he says he almost dropped the phone. One week later, the watch was back in Grigor's possession. He says his eyes filled with tears of joy as he opened the package, adding that even though the watch isn't very valuable, he'll treasure it for the rest of his life.
>>Tim Tebow Owns "Tebowing"
Tim Tebow wants all the profiteers to bow out of the "Tebowing" market. According to Deadspin.com, the New York Jets' quarterback has officially trademarked the term "Tebowing" for himself. But don't expect the football star to look for a payout from his namesake's brand. ESPN's Jane McManus says Tebow made the move not for profit, but because he considers the genuflection a prayer and "doesn't want other people to cash in" on his sacred ritual. "Tebowing" took football fans by storm last season after Jared Kleinstein began posting pictures of people kneeling like Tebow. Kleinstein is credited with beginning the term "Tebowing" and even created Tebowing.com, which sold T-shirts and other "Tebowing" swag.
>>Survey Says: Road Trips May Improve Relationships
In a survey conducted by YourTango and Ford, 84-percent of couples who have taken road trips together say the experience has strengthened their relationship. Sixty-three-percent say they use the time to talk and catch up with each other. Sixty-percent say they like to blast their favorite music and 37-percent say they get much-needed quiet time. The study says that all these factor help improve couples' connections with each other. It's not totally optimistic, however. It shows that of the 91-percent of the couples who have road-tripped, the majority of them do run into problems on the road. For example, 63-percent say that one of the partners becomes a back-seat driver, and often complains about things like driving speed, directions, and safety.
