Calling All Seniors
09.18.09 |
Seniors are ready for another season of ministry here at Family Life. Typically these luncheons involve close to 200 seniors who come for the fellowship, the delicious food, and a program.
The first luncheon of the season will be Friday, October 2. For this luncheon, The Performing Arts department will present a dramatic production that will use the talents of some of our regular seniors luncheon attendees. The short drama, Footprints of a Pilgrim, will take our guests on a journey with one of the most beloved Christian women of our time - Ruth Bell Graham. We'll see where one pilgrim's footprints started and where they've led to in this story of perseverance, strength and love.
The Seniors Luncheons are held monthly October - May. They begin at 10:30 AM with the program and end about 1 PM after a delicious lunch prepared by Family Life Chef, Sherri Watters and her dedicated group of volunteers.
We've got a great line-up of talent and speakers for the 2009/2010 season. Musicians like the Dunnemans, Cecil VanHouten, Kirk & Kellen Gilbert and Tim & Bernadette Negus. Galina Messmer will share her story of God's triumph in the face of tragedy, Todd Jennings will talk about climbing the world's highest mountains in Nepal and chalk artist Ginger Himes will present a program of art and music.
If you are 55 and older, you're invited to join us. For details on each luncheon, check out our events calendar and look for "Seniors Luncheon". Click here for the calendar of events.
