Public Relations
Gary Fizzano, Events & Activities Director / PR for Eastern PA
Gary's role at Family Life is to oversee all of the events and activities for Family Life as well as maintain relationships with area churches and Christian organizations in Eastern Pennsylvania. He enjoys booking major concerts and events presented by Family Life, as well as managing the many ministry co-sponsorships with other faith-based organizations.
Originally from the Suburban Philadelphia area, Gary started in Christian radio when he was sixteen. After rededicating his life to Christ, he attended the Word of Life Bible Institute to learn more about the Christian faith. After marrying his wife, Tina, the couple took off to Italy, spending over two years there as Word of Life missionaries.
Back in the States, Gary took a job as youth pastor and worship leader at his home church. There he worked for six years until his passion for radio brought him back to the business. For three years Gary worked as Station Manager for a two Christian radio stations in Philly. Eventually God called Gary to Bath, New York, at Family Life, where he serves now. Gary and Tina have two children (Jessica and David). He loves performing music, horseback riding, hunting, and acting.
Gary's life verse is Isaiah 40:30-31 "Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Dan Kennard – PR Rep, Northwest Pennsylvania
Dan's job puts him face-to-face with church and ministry leaders, as well as members of the ever-growing listening audience in the northwestern corner of the Keystone State. The most exciting part of Dan's job is getting to hear first-hand how God is working in the hearts and lives of those who come in contact with Family Life. It truly is Christ's ministry.
Christian radio ministry has been a life’s work for Dan. After completing his degree in broadcasting at Tennessee Temple University in 1988, he went to work full-time at WDBA-FM - a Christian radio station in DuBois, Pennsylvania. Dan served in many positions at WDBA, most recently as General Manager. When the Lord entrusted Family Life with the ownership of WDBA in October 2007, Dan was adopted into the FLN family.
To Dan, there is nothing better than spending time with his wife, Diane, of 20+ years, or with his children, Deidre and Dan II. When they are not at home in DuBois, PA, the Kennards’ favorite place to spend time together as a family is at Ocean City, New Jersey, “America’s Greatest Family Resort.” Dan also enjoys Christian music, sports, history, and politics.
Randy Snavely - PR Rep, Rochester and South Central Twin Tiers
Being a part of the PR team, Randy helps grow and maintain relationships with ministry supporters, listeners, and friends of the network. Randy is also the preacher of the Snavely family, speaking at churches and other events across Upstate NY.
Before coming to Family Life, Randy worked in Kansas City with Youth for Christ. He spent six years there - a very exciting and rewarding time since many lives were changed by Christ. Randy was eventually led to Family Life by God's hand in his life. It's an exciting story too long to write out here. So if you see Randy, grab a seat and ask him about it.
Golf is near the top of Randy's fun-things-to-do list. He also plays fantasy baseball, enjoys watching his kids compete in school sports, and loves spending time with his family. Adam, Drew, Luke and Olivia are all into soccer and swimming. Randy's wife, Krisitina, and the rest of the family live in Bath, NY.
Emily Oliver – Event Coordinator/ PR Rep for Eastern NY
Emily works in the Activities Department here at Family Life. Whether it's booking an artist, researching venues, or scheduling volunteers, Emily can often be found working on behind the scenes details for many of the events sponsored by Family Life. Emily came to Family Life in 2008 after answering God's call to leave the south and move back to snowy New York.
Emily graduated from SUNY Geneseo with her undergraduate in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications. While in college Emily sensed he Lord calling her to ministry. Not sure what that would look like, she waited for the Lord to lead. Over the years Emily has had the opportunity to serve in several areas including Youth, Urban, and Crisis Response ministries. Passionate about building relationships and investing in people, Emily has a heart for social justice, urban ministry, and working with youth. Emily cherishes time with friends, loves to ski, and is always up for checking out a live band. Her love for travel often finds her seeing new places, meeting new faces, and going on new adventures.
