Ill Be Home For Christmas
10.26.10 |
Family Life will present, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, a musical comedy about family and hope during the golden days of radio. The shows will be given as dinner theaters (yum-yum) in three locations - Mayville, NY; Peckville, PA; Kersey, PA; and here at Family Life in Bath.
Directed by Darren Litz of Family Life, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, is a musical written by Deborah Craig-Claar and Mark Hayes - two highly original composers! Set in late 1941, with World War II about to break lose, the story tells of a family's journey through the pain of separation during the Christmas season. The music highlights the sounds of the jazzy, Big Band era, and is interspersed with reenactments of old time radio broadcasts. With original music and familiar holiday favorites, this dramatic musical portrays the fear of war balanced with the hope and meaning of Christmas.
This will be a unique dinner theater experience good for couples or families. Each showing will offer a warm atmosphere, a three course meal, and a professionally done musical with a positive message. We hope it brightens and encourages your spirit for the Christmas season!
