Telling an age-old tale of love and friendship, Family Life will present a musical from the classic story, Beauty & The Beast. Performances are May 1, 2, 3 at Family Life in Bath, NY. The cast and crew consist of 75 young people between the ages of 8 and 15, in addition to over 70 parent volunteers. Students and their families are from Bath, Hornell, Corning, Elmira, and other surrounding communities.

The musical is an adaptation of the Disney classic and was modified by Linda Woolverton, with music by Alan Menken, and lyrics by Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice.

Directed by Darren Litz of Family Life, Beauty & The Beast, is an enchanting story about a small-town beauty, Belle, who is taken prisoner by a reclusive beast-a human prince under a spell. The Beast's castle is inhabited by a group of servants who also have fallen victim to the spell by taking on characteristics of household items. Within the confines of the castle, Belle and the Beast both learn to love and be loved in return, which magically breaks the spell.
