Financial
All fun stuff to Dave, preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements and coordinating accounting activities is his job at Family Life. He also works with donors, vendors, and employees to make sure we report financial documents in fair, accurate, and easy-to-understand formats. (Speak for yourself, Dave!)
Growing up in Western PA, Dave came to Family Life in 2004 after doing accounting work for the utilities, health care, and telecommunications industries. Dave grew up in the church, and as a teenager, was confronted with questions about the meaning of his faith, and how he personally would respond to the claims of Jesus. In high school he was challenged to completely trust in Jesus Christ for eternal salvation. Dave committed his life to serving Him, realizing that the only true Hope that exists in this world rests in the person of Jesus.
Dave received a BA in accounting from Grove City College, where he met his lovely wife, Mindy. They were married shortly after graduation and are blessed by God with a wonderful family – two daughters and two sons. All animal-lovers at heart, Dave’s family has a cat, Clyde, who is known for his funny basket-ball shaped body. They also have a deaf cocker spaniel, Buster, who for obvious reasons won’t come when they call. Apart from making fun of his animals, Dave enjoys playing sports (which includes cutting firewood, according to his wife) and camping with the family.
Tom works in all aspects of finance for Family Life, sorting and entering bills, processing donations, preparing reports, and making sure it’s all accurate and up-to-date.
Tom came to Family life in 1998 from Binghamton, New York. After graduating from college, Tom worked at local companies in the Binghamton area, starting out first as an accounting clerk, then as the accountant. Feeling restless and unsatisfied, Tom began looking for ways to serve in ministry, not knowing where or how God would make this happen.
One day while listening to the Family Life Network, Tom heard about an opening in their accounting department. The job description fit him like a glove. After much prayer, God opened the door for Tom to join the team at Family Life.
Tom is married to Dena and has four active and wonderful children. He loves music, having had the amazing experience of singing and touring with the Continental Singers. Tom loves the outdoors and will pack up his car at a moment's notice for a summer-time camping adventure with the family.
